FULLYMATURE'S WEBPAGE

A look at the humorous, but painful truth about being OVERWEIGHT

This web page has been designed to give a different aspect to being overweight.    There are a great many sites with motivational tips, and success stories about personal weight loss, with its trials and tribulations.   This website  is based on my personal experiences, but also highlights the difficulties experienced by those of us who are overweight and which are not usually shared with anybody else because of the embarrassment and humiliation that comes with it.   The only way that I can help you to understand what goes on in our lives, is to share the many frustrations and negative feelings through humor.  We all hide our feelings well; mine is through comfort eating, but in order to show that I fully share and understand what all overweight people go through,  I have put pen to paper (or rather font to screen) as a way of airing my frustrations and anger about the way that society dictates how we should look to “fit in with the so called norm” and  have divided the page into topic areas where I have faced some of those difficulties.

This doesn't mean however that I've given up trying to lose weight.  This is my way of saying that despite the on-going difficulties, no-one is going to dictate to me how I should live my life.  I will lose weight in my own way, in my own time and with the help and support from people who really care about me and understand where I am coming from.

I would love to hear your comments or thoughts about this site and would be grateful if you could sign the guest book below.

Please, do feel free to laugh, but remember - IT IS ALSO THE PAINFUL TRUTH TO BEING OVERWEIGHT!!!
